5 Ways To Make Money In Your Spare Time (Even If You Don't Have Spare Time)

Moms DON'T have "spare time"....What does that even mean?!?! I have no idea....

....But that is neither here nor there...

I love spending money...I could spend it faster than we make it if I didn't have a little self control... My husband says I'm an expert at spending money... It amazes me the damage I can do on pay day... in a Target, or a baby store... or even Amazon for that matter...

....this obviously created a problem for me... I mean, at what point does it become an issue? We have bills, a mortgage, student loans... And because of my psychotic obsession with being "in control", I RARELY use a credit card. I HATE spending money that isn't really mine, and I hate owing money.. it KILLS me..

So I needed to find ways to make extra money so I could support my little shopping problem...and let me tell you....I have found SO MANY ways to make extra money... Most allowing me to make money quickly and efficiently, and with little effort.

Here are my top 5 ways to make extra money!

1. Ibotta

This is by far the EASIEST way I make extra money. For anyone who doesn't know about Ibotta, it is an app for your phone that you download to get rebates on products you buy from stores. I treat Ibotta just like coupons. I have actually just recently gotten into couponing, and I've found Ibotta often has rebates for items that I also have coupons for, so I end up getting a lot of items FOR FREE. The basic explanation for Ibotta is getting cash back for items you already buy. They also offer bonuses for buying certain things. I've been using it regularly for a few months now, and on average I make about $50 to $60 a month. Even if you don't have a shopping problem like me, that amount could help pay a bill!

2. Swagbucks

I have been using Swagbucks for a long time, and I love it because there are SO many different ways to make money! Swagbucks is a website (they also have many different apps) that offers points that can be redeemed for cash and gift cards for doing things like watching videos or taking surveys. I love utilizing all the ways to make money on Swagbucks, but my favorite ways to cash in are by using coupons from the site and also by shopping through them online for cash back on purchases! 3. Sell Your Crap This is the obvious way to make a quick buck. I don't know about you, but I am always finding things that I don't use or don't need around my house.. probably related to my shopping obsession... either way, selling things that my family no longer uses is an excellent way to make quick cash! I often sell a lot of Olivia's clothes and toys that she has out grown. I normally sell through buy, sell, trade groups, but I've also has success with Ebay. Selling old stuff will make you a little cash and help you keep your house clutter free. Win-win!

4. Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog is another app that I am loving these days! This app allows you to make money by taking pictures of your store receipts. You earn points from each receipt you submit. When you are ready to cash out, simply trade your points in for Paypal cash or Amazon gift cards. I like this app because it literally involves no additional work. 5. Walmart Savings Catcher

If you shop at Walmart for anything, I hope you're already using this tool!! The Walmart Savings Catcher is a tool accessed through the Walmart app. All you have to do is scan your Walmart receipt into the saving catcher. Walmart will then compare prices against all other stores near you. If there is a lower price at another store, Walmart will honor the lower price and give you cash back in the form of a Walmart gift card. This basically means that no matter what you buy, you will get the lowest price from Walmart, and whatever you overpaid will be returned to you! I love this because it takes the guess work out of saving money. I know that no matter what I will always be getting the lowest possible price!
